Pine-Aged Coffee
The greater Puli area of Taiwan is the homeland of Arabica coffee beans, which in the Japanese colonial era were reserved for the imperial household.
The coffee of Flying Villa is grown by natural farming, with no chemical fertiliser or pesticide, under half-day sunlight in symbiosis with our pine grove. The pristine beans are roasted in small batches on a custom-built roaster (only 1.5 lb in 20 minutes), with a hot-air fluidised 360-degree rotating low-temperature light roast that preserves chlorogenic acid, coffee's health-giving element.
"One sip: silky smooth, a sweet lingering finish, an exuberant aroma, images that gallop before your eyes" - and so we named it Pine-Aged Coffee.
